Catalytic Destruction of Cyanide

LES has developed a patented process for the catalytic destruction of cyanide.  The process uses a specially treated ‘proprietary’ granular activated carbon to catalytically destruct cyanide without the use of oxidizing chemicals.

The Process

The carbon, in the presence of the heavy metals, catalytically breaks down the cyanide bearing compounds to it’s elemental components.  The carbon simultaneously adsorbs the heavy metals producing an EPA dischargeable effluent, which more than likely can be recycled back to the process.

The Enviro-Clean process allows you to substantially reduce waste chemicals, sludge generation, and water purchases.  One computer component manufacturer who utilizes this process is able to recycle 100% of the effluent from our system.
